All-Scholastics - girls' hockey (athlete of year)

Lydia Barnes

Methuen, junior The netminder posted a 1.08 goals against average as the Red Rangers finished 19-2-3 and made the D1 semifinals. Barnes had eight shutouts en route to a MV/DC All-Conference selection. The NHS member plays lacrosse and baseball.

Caroline Doherty

Hingham, senior Her 43 goals and 20 assists powered the Harborwomen to the Division 1 title. The three-time Patriot League MVP amassed 152 goals and 234 points, both school records. After a year at Williston Northampton, it’s on to Holy Cross.

Paige Nottingham

North Andover, senior A lightning-fast defender, the MV/DC All-Star had 13 goals and 20 assists, pacing HPNA to the D1 semifinals. A three-sport athlete (track and tennis), she plays the piano, is a National Honor Society member, and will play at Salve Regina.

Ava Baker

Malden Catholic, senior Now a two-time Super Teamer, the two-year captain paced the Lancers to a 16-3-4 finish with 21 points from the blue line against a tough regular-season schedule. She is a President’s List student and ends her career with 71 points.

Zoey Madigan

Duxbury, senior A skilled forward, Madigan produced 19 goals and 21 assists, leading the Dragons to the D2 quarterfinals. The high honor roll student is a three-time Patriot League All-Star, two-time D2 state champion, and recorded 105 career points.

Kate Sullivan

Westwood, senior In leading the Wolverines to the top seed in Division 2, the sniper amassed 62 points, setting the program record with 182 points. A two-time Tri-Valley MVP and two-time All-Scholastic, she will play lacrosse at Connecticut College.
