Chase Akstin

Central Catholic, sr. (alpine) Racing to four first-place wins in Mass Bay West Alpha, the senior helped the Raiders clinch a second straight league title, then finished seventh (GS) and 14th (slalom) at states. The Haverhill resident is on the Pats Peak Ski Team.

Shaylin Bernard

Acton-Boxborough, jr. (nordic) The two-time DCL All-Star led the Revolution to a third-place finish at states by placing seventh individually. The junior is a high honor roll student with three qualifications for Easterns. She also competes for the Freedom Trail Nordic Club.

Robert Blanchard

Cohasset, jr. (alpine) The four-time Ski East champion and two-year captain placed fourth in the slalom and second in the GS at the state meet, and top 30 at Easterns. He carries a 4.2 GPA and competes for the Bretton Woods Ski Team.

Levin Brenner

Newton South, sr. (nordic) The senior finished fifth in Mass Bay East to help South finish second, and sixth at states to help the team to a fourth-place overall finish. Brenner finished third in U17 Biathalon last year and trains with Eastern Mass XC.

Sam Charrette

St. John’s Prep, sr. (alpine) Finishing fifth in slalom and first in GS at states earned the senior an individual state title while leading the program to a fourth-straight championship. Also a talented sprinter, he competed with New England Elite track team.

Mori Finlayson-Johnecheck

Arlington, sr. (nordic) Runner-up in Mass Bay East, and third in the MIAA state meet, Finlayson-Johnecheck was sixth in the Mass Cup Skate Race, and 12th in the Cup Classic Race. In July, he’s off to the Junior World Orienteering Championships in Italy.

Summer Flannery

Newton South, jr. (alpine) A three-time All-Scholastic, Flannery raced to a ninth-place finish (slalom) and 17th (GS) at the state meet, followed by two top-40 finishes at Easterns. Fourth in the Mass Bay West/Alpha standings, she is also a soccer captain.

Josh Haarmann

St. John’s Prep, sr. (alpine) The senior posted his third straight North Shore individual title and led the Eagles to a fourth straight state championship with a seventh-place slalom finish. Haarmann won slalom at states in 2024. He will play lacrosse at Connecticut College.

Amelia Hariskov

Newton South, fr. (alpine) The freshman burst onto the scene with a third-place overall finish in Mass Bay West Alpha, then finished sixth in giant slalom to lift her team to a second-place finish at states. She also competes for the Loon Race Team.

Courtney Hoguet

Marblehead, sr. (alpine) The senior captain led the Magicians to a third-place finish in Mass Bay East and took fifth in slalom and ninth in GS at states, ending her career with five top 10 finishes. An Easterns qualifier, she’ll attend Colorado.

Alex Huesgen

Westford, sr. (nordic) The senior captain finished second in Mass Bay West and ninth (22:20) at states, qualifying for Easterns, where he finished 43rd overall. Huesgen races club with Freedom Trail Nordic and will attend Saint Michael’s College.

Polina Kontorovich

Newton South, sr. (nordic) The senior finished third overall in Mass Bay East to lead the Lions to a league title, and was fourth at states to lead the team to a fourth-place overall finish. A National Merit Scholarship Finalist, she will attend Dartmouth.

Hannah Leese

Newton South, jr. (nordic) The junior finished fourth in Mass Bay East, leading the program to its first league title, then placed eighth at states to help the team finish fourth. Leese runs cross-country and track and trains with Eastern Mass XC.

Jillian Magill

Grafton, fr. (alpine) The Grafton freshman finished third in GS and eighth in slalom at states and was named MVP for the Ashland/Medfield/Grafton co-op that finished third in Central Mass Ski League. The Gunstock Ski Club member competed at Easterns.

Owen McLain

St. John’s Prep, jr. (alpine) After helping the Eagles win a fourth straight title by finishing fourth (GS) and sixth (slalom) at states, the junior finished second at Easterns in the GS at Cannon Mountain, where he trains as a member of Franconia Ski Club.

Lucy Reiner

Lincoln-Sudbury, soph. (nordic) The two-time Mass Bay West All-Star finished fourth in the league and sixth (27:09) at states, earning another trip to Easterns, where she finished 17th. The sophomore has competed at the U16 Championships and owns a 4.0 GPA.

Charlotte Richmond

Norton, soph. (alpine) After helping propel the Medway co-op to its first Central Mass. title, Richmond raced to fourth in the slalom and fifth in the GS at the state meet, and 10th at Easterns. A high honors student, she also plays soccer and lacrosse.

Libby Rogers

Hingham, jr. (alpine) The three-time Ski East champion and three-time All-Scholastic was sixth in the slalom and 12th in the giant slalom at Berkshire East, and named to the state team for the third time. She also skis for the Mount Washington Valley ski team.

Lukas Schemmel

Winchester, sr. (alpine) Competing in both nordic and alpine, the senior posted a second-place alpine finish in Mass Bay West and placed third (GS) and eighth (slalom) at states, ending his career with five top-10 finishes at states. He’ll attend Cornell.

Zach Scopinich-Burgel

Concord-Carlisle, soph. (nordic) The sophomore led the Patriots to a Mass Bay West title and third-place finish at states by finishing fourth (18:07). He won the 5k at the NENSA U16 championships and finished first at the Biathalon Nationals last year.

Ashlyn Shaughnessy

Notre Dame (Hingham), fr. (alpine) The freshman posted the highest finish for her team at states for a third straight year and finished third overall in Ski East. Also a varsity lacrosse and volleyball player at NDA, she is on the Attitash Race Team.

Rachael Strock

Brookline, jr. (nordic) The junior placed second in MassBay East races and third in states at Prospect Mountain. She was second and third, respectively, in the Mass Nordic Cup skate and classic races. Strock is also a member of Freedom Trail Nordic.

Adam Synnestvedt

Concord-Carlisle, jr. (nordic) The top-ranked racer in Mass Bay West, Synnestvedt surged to eighth in the MIAA meet, and was fourth in both the Mass Nordic Cup Skate and Classic meets. The high honors student runs cross-country and outdoor track, and hikes.

Mathijs Tague

Newburyport, jr. (alpine) The second-ranked downhiller in the North Shore League, Tague raced to ninth (slalom) and 10th-place finishes (GS) in the state meet at Berkshire East. A three-time league all-star, he trains/races with the Gunstock Ski Club.
