Boys’ Alpine: Concord-Carlisle With a nod to stellar assistants Andrew Callen, Burton Flint, and Greg Marshall, the fifth-year coach guided C-C (8-1) to the Mass Bay West title and a runner-up finish at states. The Lincoln Academy and Bates (’94) grad is a ‘Sugerloafer’.

Girls’ Alpine: Newton South In his first season, the 2011 grad directed South to an ‘‘incredible season,’’ a 6-0 finish in Mass Bay East, and runner-up finish at states. Proud of the dedication, and hard work, he also saluted assistant Max Carter, a former teammate.

Marika Massey-Bierman

Boys’ Nordic: Concord-Carlisle In her first season, the former racer at Burlington (Vt.) and Williams (’23) led the boys’ team to a Mass Bay West title and third place at states, and coached up several hard-working first-year girls’ skiers to compete at states.

Sarah Shamel

Girls’ Nordic: Acton-Boxborough The first-year coach led the girls’ team to second in Mass Bay West and a third-place finish at states while the boys’ team finished fourth in the league and ninth at states. Shamel raced nordic and alpine at Bedford (’94).
