ISL: Rivers, basketball The 6-foot-5-inch senior from Chestnut Hil became the first Rivers athlete to win 100 games in a single sport. Headed to Penn, he averaged 21.5 points, 11 rebounds, and 6 assists as the Independent School League MVP.
Leo Bertone
EIL: Pingree, swimming The senior from Beverly was the Eastern Independent League MVP with wins in the 50- and 100-free at the league meet. He owns nine school records and is a six-time EIL and two-time NESPAC champion. He will attend Northeastern.
Lily Bourell
ISL: Milton Academy, squash Ranked 10th at the U19 level by US Squash, the junior from Westwood is undefeated at the high school level and the back-to-back ISL MVP. She will represent Team USA in the 2025 Pan American Junior Championships.
Nicole Burns
EIL: Lex. Christian, basketball The NEPSAC Defensive Player of the Year was a threat all over the court, averaging 23.2 points, 11.1 rebounds, 4.4 steals, and 3.2 assists. She earned Eastern Independent Player of the Year honors and finished with 1,548 points.
Dylan Cafferty
ISL: Milton Acad., skiing (alpine) The sophomore led the ISL with three first-place finishes and four podiums over seven contests, winning the GS at the NEPSAC Class B race for a second straight year and placing first overall with a sixth-place slalom finish.
Kaelyn Carroll
ISL: Tabor, basketball The Kentucky-bound Carroll (11.7 ppg., 4.5 rpg), a McDonald’s All-American and NEPSAC AAA Player of the Year, was one of the region’s premier prospects. A smooth and unselfish playmaker from Dedham, she makes life easy for teammates.
Sophia Cukras
EIL: Winsor, swimming The junior from Brookline won the 50 free and 100 butterfly at the EIL championship meet, lifting Winsor to a second-place team finish. Then, at the NEPSAC championships, she finished second in the 50 free (24.75) and the 100 fly (59.55).
Noah Daniel
EIL: Berwick, basketball The senior guard from Portsmouth, N.H. was the Eastern Independent League MVP after averaging 28.8 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 1.8 steals per game. A three-time All-NEPSAC pick, he will study engineering and play at RPI.
Dino De Marzio
Portsmouth Abbey, wrestling The EIL wrestler of the year earned 14 pins while racking up a 26-6 record as a junior. The 120-pounder finished sixth at prep New Englands, qualifying for prep nationals. A two-time EIL champ, De Marzio is 89-24 in his career.
Seif El Gazzar
ISL: Tabor, squash The sophomore from Cairo, Egypt was the Independent School League MVP, went undefeated in league play, and finished 34-3 overall. He won the Providence Gold Tournament, runs cross-country and track, and plays paddle tennis.
Jaylen Harrell
CATS Academy, basketball Harrell was named the Massachusetts Gatorade Player of the Year for the second consecutive year after averaging 20.8 points, 8 rebounds, and 7.2 assists per game. The Providence-bound senior scored 2,532 career points.
Justin Lim
ISL: Roxbury Latin, wrestling A three-time ISL champion, the 157-pound senior completed his last two regular seasons undefeated. He finished third at the prep New Englands and finished his last year 25-2. He will wrestle at the University of Chicago.
Judy Liu
EIL: Winsor, squash The top-ranked U15 girl nationally, the freshman from Cambridge propelled Winsor to its 15th straight Eastern Independent League title, third place in NEPSAC Class B, and fifth at Division 2 nationals. The league MVP also plays lacrosse.
Brooke Marston
EIL: Portsmouth Abbey, hockey The Eastern Independent League MVP led the Ravens to the league title with 16 goals and 18 assists. The Portsmouth, R.I., resident is a Dean’s List student and a cross-country all-star. She plays club for the Rhode Island Sting.
Amalyah McCoy
IGC: Gann Academy, basketball McCoy stuffed the stat sheet with 14.7 points, 9.2 rebounds, 4.6 steals, 4.3 assists, and 2.5 blocks to earn Independent Girls Conference MVP and NEPSAC honorable mention recognition. She was an all-league selection all four years.
Morgan McGathey
ISL: Thayer, hockey Now a two-time All-Scholastic, the Harvard-bound forward was ISL MVP for the second straight year, notching 39 goals and 19 assists in 28 games. A four-time All-ISL selection, the high honors student registered 169 career points.
Carter Meyer
ISL: Rivers, hockey A freshman star, Meyer won the ISL Eberhart MVP by leading all of New England prep hockey with an astounding 41 goals and 70 points. The Winchester resident will play for the vaunted USA NTDP U17 team next season.
Kyle O’Leary
ISL: Nobles, hockey The ISL Keller MVP posted 24 goals and 35 assists as the Bulldogs captured the league championship. A two-time captain, O’Leary has earned high distinction honors for academic achievement. The Medfield resident is committed to Yale.
Gabe Oliva-Booth
EIL: Wheeler (R.I.), swimming The EIL/ISL champion in the 200 IM and 500 free helped Wheeler take NEPSAC Division 3 titles in the 200 medley, 400 free, and 500 free relays. The sophomore set school records in the 200 IM (1:59.61) and 500 free (4:47.53).
Christina Pham
ISL: Nobles, basketball The sharpshooting guard will play at Fairfield after earning Gatorade Player of the Year honors. She averaged 18.4 points, 5.4 assists, and 5 rebounds, while shooting 45 percent from distance, powering Nobles to the NEPSAC AAA final.
Bennett Plosker
MBIL: Cov. Christian, basketball The first 1,000-point scorer in program history averaged 23.6 points and 4.5 assists to earn MBIL MVP honors and a NEPSAC All-Star selection. Also a NEPSAC All-Star in soccer, the senior will do a post-graduate year at Tilton School.
Emma Sawatzky
ISL: Nobles, skiing (alpine) The ISL co-MVP from Chestnut Hill won two races for the four-time defending/undefeated league champion, and two-time New England champ. A member of the league champion girls’ soccer team, she will study English at Virginia.
Sophie Sunshine
ISL: Nobles, skiing (alpine) The sophomore from Boston was ISL co-MVP with Emma Sawatzky after winning two league races. She was fourth in slalom at New Englands after fifth-place finishes in slalom/GS last year. She is a member of the Phillipine Ski Federation.
Will Walton
Belmont Hill, skiing (nordic) The senior from Concord was the NEPSAC nordic champion in a 48-2 season, helping propel Belmont to the Lake Regions title and second place in New England. He is committed to Dartmouth to row on the heavyweight crew team.
