Kelley Macdonald
Division 1: Braintree Macdonald spent 12 years coaching the JV and seven leading the freshman. Her first two years at the helm of the varsity have been nothing short of brilliant. The Wamps went 21-3 in 2024-25 and Macdonald is 32-14 in her career.
Liana Cunningham
Division 2: North Quincy Cunningham (Quincy ‘18) steered the Raiders to the first state semifinal appearance in program history. ‘‘I couldn’t be more proud,’’ she said. ‘‘I am truly so grateful to be in this position and doing what I love for this special group of girls.’’
Jeff Newhall
Division 3: St. Mary’s Newhall (St. Mary’s ‘94) has now led the Spartans to six state championships, including four since 2020. ‘‘Awesome group that I knew had ‘it’ early on,’’ he said. Newhall has a career mark of 419-153 after a season that ended at 25-3.
Clinton Lassiter
Division 4: Cathedral Talent doesn’t guarantee championships, and Lassiter has a knack for maximizing that talent each year. With him at the helm, and his unique blend of fire and poise, the powerhouse Panthers have won a remarkable seven titles in 10 years.
Niki Murphy
Division 5: Minuteman Murphy directed a fifth consecutive Commonwealth Athletic Conference Small Division title and a 16-6 overall record. ‘‘I’m beyond proud of their resilience and dedication,’’ Murphy said. ‘‘Honestly, they teach me just as much as I teach them.’’
