Sunday’s Child is a weekly column featuring a child currently in foster care awaiting adoption.

Richard is an engaging, energetic, and very friendly 16-year-old. He has been told that he has a great sense of humor.

He enjoys playing video games, watching movies, riding his bike, and playing sports.

Richard has many close relationships with peers and adults in school. He is most successful in a small classroom setting and receives some assistance in his classes for social and emotional needs. Richard performs well academically.

He is described as having immense kindness and compassion and as being very intuitive, polite, and respectful of others.

He firmly believes that it is important to stand up for others and is not afraid to stand up for himself either.
